1. It is necessary: to set a task, allocate resources, show will and determination and firmly achieve the final result. And it is desirable to come up with some fresh idea, so that the reforms were not carried out shockingly, but with a smile and pleasure.
2. I’ll tell you a story. Six hundred years ago Italian king Lorenzo the Magnificent discovered that the treasury was empty, trade with other countries was extinguished, and set the task to achieve the prosperity of Italy with the help of the following twomover.
He issued a decree that every citizen who enters the country (either local or stranger) must bring some work of art or otherwise they simply did not let them in. And so, pictures, sculptures, vases, necklaces, rings, furniture flowed to Italy from all over the world. At that time some of these things were expensive, some were not very good, but as a result there were a lot of things. Moreover, it gave impetus to the Italian masters to improve their art.
The idea of the twomover was that simple possession of these treasures was not enough (what to do with them?). But the rumor (Lorenzo initiated it) that Italy had unbelievable treasures spread all over the world! And caravans of merchants and pilgrims flowed there, raising the country from the ruins and fabulously enriching it. That’s how one clever twomover led to the prosperity of the «Romans».
Thus, in just 40 years, Italy became the owner of 70% of the world’s stock of works of art. And now this figure is preserved. And by the way, the descendants gave him the prefix «Magnificent» for his phenomenal contribution to the collection of world masterpieces.
