Vladimir Spivakovsky, teach me, please, and other admirers of your blog, I think, will not refuse to learn.

How not to react to a newspaper hoax? There can be so high profile names, you click the link and oops! – there is useless and meaningless material and you just waste your time. Sometimes adverts pop up, which is also unpleasant.

And what is the most horrible there can be intimate photos, photos of pornographic character.
How can we understand where there is a normal article where there is a hoax?

1. My answer will be a bit strange, because I have learned to treat any information from the point «Can it be useful to me at least a little?». And I have stopped considering information from the point «is it true?». I once asked a Chinese: «How many truths are there in the world?» He thought and replied: «I do not know, but there is one and a half billion of us». Therefore, it`s difficult to understand for whom it is a hoax and for whom it isn`t.

2. All the headlines in the media try to outdo each other in creativity and conspiracy, because for them not the truth is a priority, but a quick attraction of attention. Now on the Internet there is a huge business — using links to guide you where they need (not you).

3. Do you have protection from this? Not really, because there is hardly something that can protect you from this bulldozer. What is my strategy? I taught myself to recognize very quickly (in 1-2 seconds) if I need this text or not. My «thesaurus» works for me, that is, I instantly catch some key words, as well as the tonality of the written text, the last phrase or line. My brain quickly decides in autopilot mode if to stop here or scroll further.

Well, it is like a melody and then you catch some fake notes. Why should you listen to it further?

4. But since I have a well-developed right hemisphere, which is always looking for something creative. Sometimes even in verbal or illustrative rubbish I switch on my imagination and my brain, again independently, without my intervention, starts looking for some zest in this cacophony or rubbish. And then it reports to me that from such and such rubbish you can get a completely different candy.

5. Thus it turns out that the efficiency of my browsing is about 80%, and I do not regret about those 20% of trash. As my mother-in-law says, a good housewife will make good use even of spoilt sour cream.

Vladimir Mikhailovich, were you good at Math in your childhood? They say that those who understand exact sciences — succeed in life better.

1. There is no connection between knowledge of mathematics and prosperity in life. Even in mathematics itself there is a postulate, when they say for different reasons «… this condition is necessary, but insufficient».

2. To succeed in life, you need a few additional qualities: ingenuity, imagination, charisma, ambition, loyalty, skills and abilities. That is, it is necessary to have both hemispheres equally well developed — the left (which is responsible for the mind and order), and the right one, which is responsible for beauty, feelings and imagination.

3. As for me, then — yes, I was the best at mathematics at school and at the institute, I won many different Academic Olympics. But at some point I discovered that this line alone was becoming defective and dead-end for me. And I began to develop everything that I wrote here: composing music, poetry, speaking in public (at first through not being able to), to train intuition and every time to see the goal — why I am doing something. And very different horizons began to open for me.

4. It is believed that Mathematics develops logical thinking. But all the sadness lies in the fact that life isn`t built on logic. Moreover, there are a lot of logics now.

5. And more: Mathematics is called the queen of sciences. I thought for a long time, feeling that something was wrong here. And I understood: the queen is good but what if there is the «king» and what is he is more important?

Vladimir Mikhailovich, you are, in general, a positive person. Do you consider yourself more optimistic or realistic?

1. I’m different in different situations. It depends on everything: character, mood, weather and my desire to get to the bottom of the problem and number of current activities, when it is necessary to choose more important things from secondary ones.

2. Looking at some situation, I immediately imagine a conveyor belt from start to finish — how it can end and what obstacles can wait along the way and how to overcome them.

And I never evaluate a situation in the terms that you gave. Moreover, I do not divide people into such or other. In my opinion a person cannot be an optimist or a realist (or pessimist). And their actions either. That is, a person can react in different ways to the same thing.

3. Yesterday I refused to participate in one project, and I’m not even going to think about the reason for this refusal. And in another, almost hopeless, activity I saw a light at the end of the tunnel, and somehow promoted it. And I also do not care with what traits of character it is connected.

Vladimir Mikhailovich! Do you have any idols? (maybe it’s stupid to ask the person-idol of many, but still, do not blame me)))

1. Yes, there are, they are multi-purpose people, that is, those who live a multi-dimensional life and surprise everyone with multi-vector results.

2. From historical persons — Leonardo da Vinci (painting, engineering, medicine, sculpture, science), Nikola Tesla (inventor, unique), Captain Cook – seafarer, Mikhail Botvinnik (chess, electrical engineering), Ronald Reagan (actor, president). Fom the modern — Andrey Makarevich (songs, television, paintings, underwater research), Richard Branson (business, character).
